Sometimes we all need a trusted advisor…

 

The joy of being an HR Consultant lies in developing long-term relationships and becoming that trusted advisor to our clients.  One of the best things we ever hear is “I don’t know who can help me, and I trust you to point me in the right direction, so I’m starting with this call to you…” from our clients’ management teams.

Affogato HR Consulting is focused on HR Management Consulting, so the vast majority of our contact is with leaders and administrators.  We talk about culture, compliance, plans and how to implement policies.  Our conversations are about being an employer.   

We’ve realized that some of our clients’ employees don’t have that same opportunity to just ask a hypothetical question, work through an idea, or get a little guidance on how to tackle something new.   You know, someone to talk to about being an employee.   

In response, earlier this year we rolled out our HR Navigator, a service for employees who have things to talk about related to being an employee.   This service is provided by another HR consulting firm we partner with that has the capacity and systems to work directly with a lot of people.  They have received messages asking questions on things like: 

  • Planning important workplace conversations
  • Understanding company policies
  • Navigating workplace relationships
  • Asking questions about workplace practices
  • Addressing workplace concerns
